12/05/18 A while ago I took a photo of my friend David who was kind enough to hold an umbrella with a smoke grenade attached to it which turned out to get quite a bit of attention online. It won first prize on Wex Photographic’s weekly competition, first prize on Creativity Week’s Creative Photography competition and countless retweets, regrams and reposts on social media. After this, Culture NI got in touch about using it as the front-facing image for their […]
5/3/18 So happy to have received my Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO) just after Christmas! “BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!” Basically, in a nut shell, you need approval from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to make any kind of money from a drone, whether that is through selling prints, to working with clients. It’s a slightly long-winded process, but totally worth it. The First part is to complete the classroom based learning called ‘Ground School’, which is a two day course […]
In March, we took a trip up to Ballyliffin, Donegal to capture the celebrations at Rachael and Niall’s wedding. It was a chilly day, but they brought the heat! Here’s a few favs from the day.
Graeme and I worked together back when I was in Darragh Neely Design in Bangor – it was a pleasure to hang out with him and Leah (and little Leona) on their big day at The Crawfordsburn Inn on a nice and crisp January day! I even packed my wellies and got knee deep in a river for this one.
Back in June we took LJ and Ryan out for some engagement photos. This time we were back with them to photograph their wedding! LJ and Ryan are great friends of ours and when they asked us to photograph their big day, we could not wait! It all started in their house in Comber, where LJ and the bridesmaids beautified themselves with Emma Crawford Hairdressing Boutique, and Emma Scott Beauty. Ryan and LJ rocked it at La Mon. We had so much […]
On 10 July we flew out to Bordeaux on a special mission – to photograph the wedding of Aimée McKeown and Ben Watson in their picturesque home town of Rochechouart. The weather was set for blistering heat, blue sky (and sunburn for me). The day took place mostly at the McKeown house, where the girls would all get beautified in the family-run beauty business – Equilibre Naturellement, and hair perfected by the great Timothy Smyth Hair Design. What an amazing […]
We had a blast at our friends, Christina and Andrew’s wedding at Orange Tree. Naturally, I brought my camera along. Here are a few shots from their big day.
Last week I went for a lovely evening stroll around Comber with our friends, Lindsay and Derek (Poppy and Fin came too! 🐶). These two are great craic. They even let me fire off a couple smoke grenades!
This weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of going for a dander with our friends, LJ and Ryan (and Widow 🐶), for some engagement photos around Killynether Wood and Scrabo Tower. I cannot wait to see these guys again on their wedding day in November! Looking beaut, guys!
On Saturday 20 May I had the privilege of being the photographer for a great couple, Caroline and Marcus Handford, as they tied the knot onboard the SS Nomadic, Belfast. It was such a fantastic day for all involved! The day was set for thunder and lightning with torrential rain, but as often happens in Northern Ireland, the weather predictions were wrong! We had sunshine, blue skies and birds singing all day – a perfect day for a perfect wedding! The […]
