The Queen’s undergraduate prospectus is an absolute beast of a job. It has been in the planning and development since November 2016 and now finally I have a printed copy! The design is similar to the postgraduate prospectus I redesigned last year, keeping the same page size and grid system.
What a beast of a job this was! A complete redesign, from the ground up. I ended up with a nice size of 195x220mm, which worked well with a seven column grid. […]
Another, bigger job that I get to let loose on in the run up to the Queen’s open days, is one of my favourite jobs – the QU magazine. It is always a really nice guideline-bending magazine, packed with fun content, but this time it would be different, it would be printed! YEEEEEESSS!!! Previously, this magazine/guide had […]
Wwwwhaaaaaaat? A design post?! It’s been a while, I know. I have been extra busy at the moment coming up to the open days at Queen’s. Here is one of the jobs I had worked on in the lead up to it. The school of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering asked for a new campaign that would be […]
Just found photo I took last year on my iPhone 5, printed and on the wall at the entrance to the School of Education at Queen’s. Quality is pretty good considering it has been blown up to A1! Click to see the original Instagram.
QU Issue 18 has just landed on the web, the newest most awesomest issue yet. This time is features an interview with the great singer/songwriter Malojian, from Northern Ireland. The cover was made with Cinema 4D, content put together in InDesign CC, and to finish, the digital magazine was created with 3D Issue. This is […]
QU Magazine has launched. The magazine my first online only publication. It is created in a combination of InDesign and 3D Issue, which gives it a perfect balance design, interactivity and fun, incorporating videos, music downloads, picture galleries and so much more. See for yourself, here.
Now working full time as a senior graphic designer in Queen’s University Belfast. Sad to leave Darragh Neely’s after 3 and a half years, but excited for what comes next! Photo credit – Photo Unit at Queen’s.
