Ards and North Down Council

It was a privilege to work with Morrow Communications and the Ards and North Down tourist board to photograph in my home town of Bangor and again in Greyabbey. The main aim of the campaign was to show it off as part of a tourism recovery initiative, during the world-wide Covid-19 pandemic. The brief was to create beautiful images showing people out for a walk, enjoying themselves, to then be used on billboards around Northern Ireland.

The second shoot took us to the Greyabbey Abbey. It had been planned for quite a while and of course, in true Northern Ireland fashion, the weather forecast was wrong and we got a bit of a cloudy/rainy/rubbishy day. But we made it work. It just added more drama to the photographs. You wouldn’t know it, but this was very, very early in the morning. On the plus side, this got me up at 5.30am JUST in time for the Nikon Z7 ii to go on pre-order just before I left the house. Worked out well.

Like that, did yee?
