British Photography Awards

07/11/18

I still can’t quite believe that of four photos I entered to the British Photography Awards, two have been shortlisted in two categories. One for drone photography and one for wedding photography – Thanks to Sonya and Sean for being so amazing in the photo!

LOVE’S LIGHT – CLICK TO VOTE.

This photo was taken of a couple on their wedding on a rainy summers evening, after the evening reception had begun. I always want to get one last photo of the evening for the bride and groom. To create something different, I got the couple to stand in front of a still pool of water to get the reflection, whilst I set up a remote flashgun behind them, which pointed straight up into the umbrella and lit up the couple creating this dramatic wedding portrait.

THE QUEEN’S SUNDIAL – CLICK TO VOTE.

This photo was taken just after sunrise after weeks of checking weather reports, waiting and waiting for the exact time the sun aligns with the back of the main university campus to cast the shadow of the already incredible building, perfectly aligned on front lawn to give a completely new and unique view of the iconic architecture at Queen’s.

Voting closes 15 November 2018.

I really appreciate all the support!
